Qualification :
Project Title: Development of haploid inducer line, and enhancement of seed-meal quality in Brassica juncea through CRISPR/Cas mediated genome editing
1. Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science with NET qualification or Graduate Degree in Professional Course with NET qualification or Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course with specialization in Plant Science/Molecular Biology/Biotechnology/Agriculture Desirable: Experience in Molecular biology techniques, plant tissue culture and plant transformation
2. Laboratory Assistant – Graduation in any discipline Desirable: Experience in laboratory work, field data collection, computer application and data entry
Project Title: Broadening genetic diversity of Indian mustard (Brassica juncea) through resynthesis of amphidiploid genome by crossing parental diploid species.
3. Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – Post Graduate Degree in Genetics Plant breeding/Agriculture Biotechnology/Life Sciences (preferably plant science) with four year bachelor degree from recognized university /institute. Or Post Graduate Degree in Genetics Plant breeding/Agriculture Biotechnology/Life Sciences (preferably plant science) with three year bachelor degree then compulsory to have NET or PhD in the respective subjects from recognized university /institute. Desirable: Experience in genetics and plant breeding/Molecular biology techniques and plant tissue culture
Project Title: Functional genomics of Alternaria blight tolerance in Brassica
4. Research Associate – Ph.D in Genetics Plant breeding/Agriculture Biotechnology/Molecular Biology amd Biotechnology/Life Sciences (preferably plant science) with two years hands on experience. Desirable: Experience in genetics and plant breeding/Molecular biology techniques/bioinformatics/ Transcriptome analysis
5. Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science with NET qualification or Graduate Degree in Professional Course with NET qualification or Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course with specialization in Plant Molecular Biology/Biotechnology/Agriculture Desirable: Experience in Molecular biology techniques, plant tissue culture and plant transformation
6. Young Professional-II – Post Graduate Degree in Molecular Biology Biotechnology/ Genetics Plant breeding/Agriculture/Life Sciences (preferably plant science)/ any branch of Plant science.

Age Limit :
Candidate’s Age Limit Should not exceed 35 Years. The Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC, 10 Years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s) and for Ex-S as per Govt. of India rules.

Pay Scale :
Project Title: Development of haploid inducer line, and enhancement of seed-meal quality in Brassica juncea through CRISPR/Cas mediated genome editing
1. Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – Rs. 25000/- + 30% HRA for 1st and 2nd year and Rs. 28000/- +30% HRA for 3rd year and onwards
2. Laboratory Assistant – Rs. 15200/- (Consolidated)
Project Title: Broadening genetic diversity of Indian mustard (Brassica juncea) through resynthesis of amphidiploid genome by crossing parental diploid species.
3. Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – Rs. 25000/- + 30% HRA for 1st and 2nd year and Rs. 28000/- +30% HRA for 3rd year and onwards
Project Title: Functional genomics of Alternaria blight tolerance in Brassica
4. Research Associate – Rs. 40000/- + 30% HRA
5. Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – Rs. 25000/- + 30% HRA for 1st and 2nd year and Rs. 28000/- +30% HRA for 3rd year and onwards
6. Young Professional-II – Rs 25000/- consolidated/month

Selection Procedure : short listing of the candidates before interview.

How to apply :
A walk-in interview will be held on July 4, 2018 at 10:00 AM in Board Room (Room No-125) of ICAR-NRC on Plant Biotechnology, LBS Building, Pusa Campus, New Delhi– 110 012 for filling up the following positions in research projects. The candidates failed to report by 11:00 AM for appearing in the interview will not be considered. A written test may be conducted for short listing of the candidates before interview.
